Konudagur​ is a cherished tradition in Iceland. Translating to Women's Day, Konudagur is celebrated on the first day of the month of Góa (mid-February to mid-March in the Old Norse calendar) and was seen as a time to honour and celebrate women, reflecting the values of community, equality and appreciation.

In Old Norse culture, Góa was a month of renewal and hope, symbolising the gradual end of winter and the arrival of longer, brighter days and milder weather. On Konudagur, women were allowed to rest, while men took care of the cooking, cleaning, children, animals and housework. Although flowers have been the traditional offering on this day, in recent decades women are celebrated with special gestures, gifts and pampering.
